Tell us what's slow.

Describe the part of the week that takes too long. You will get a reply from a person, usually the same day, and a straight answer about whether it is worth building anything.

01 · Get in touch

How to get hold of us.

Email

hello@westringia.com

A paragraph is plenty. Tell us what the business does, what software you run, and what you would like to stop doing by hand. Rough numbers are fine. If it is easier to send a screenshot of the spreadsheet, send that.

Phone

02 8531 8610

Ring it and you get one of the people who would do the work. There is nobody in between to get past. If we are sitting with someone else's business that day, leave your name and what is slow, and we ring back.

There is no contact form on this page yet. Ours is not wired up to anything, and a form that swallows your message is worse than none at all. Email and phone both reach the people who would do the work.

Based in Sydney, New South Wales, working with businesses around Australia.

02 · What happens next

What happens next.

  1. A reply from a person, usually the same day.

Written by whoever would do the work, and it will refer to what you actually said. You will not get an automated acknowledgement or a booking link with a fortnight's wait on it.

  2. Then a call, about half an hour.

We do not present anything. There is no deck and no discovery framework to sit through. You describe how the work gets done now, we ask questions about the parts that sound expensive, and by the end you will know whether we think there is anything here worth doing.

  3. Then, if it makes sense, something in writing.

A proposal with a fixed price, what is in scope, what is out of it, and what you hold at the end. All prices in Australian dollars, excluding GST. If we do not think there is anything worth building, you get that in writing instead, and it costs you nothing.

03 · Preparation

What to bring to the first call.

Three things, and none of them takes long to gather.

  • What software you run. Xero, MYOB, ServiceM8, Simpro, Microsoft 365, an Access database somebody built in 2009 – whatever it actually is. A rough list is fine, and so is "I am not sure what half of it is called".
  • Roughly how many people work there.
  • The one job that eats the most time. If you know how many hours a week it takes, bring that. If you do not, we will work it out on the call.

You do not need a brief, a budget, or a list of AI ideas. Nobody has to prepare a document. If you already have one, send it, and we will read it before we ring.

04 · Honesty

When we will say no, and where to go instead.

We say it on the first call, before anyone has spent money. Two cases come up often enough to name here.

If there are one to four of you.

A business that size rarely needs what we sell. What you usually want is a handful of automations joining up the tools you already pay for. A small automation shop will do that for a fraction of what we charge, and do it well. Our diagnostic would cost more than the problem.

If the software you own already does it.

Some of what we get asked to build is already sitting switched off inside a product the business pays for every month. Ring your vendor's support line first and ask them in writing whether the feature exists. If it does, use it. We would only be rebuilding something you own.

Neither answer costs you anything, and both take one phone call to find out.
